There are 3 components to this practice:
The physical
Externally we stretch some muscles and build strength in others, this increases flexibility making us less prone to injury. Internally we balance the hormones with specific postures for each endocrine gland. When the right balance of hormones are released we function optimally inside and out.
The mental
We know that any physical exercise creates endorphins, but Gita Yoga targets specific emotions connected to what we want to work on for example willpower, creativity and confidence. Minimum effort for maximum gain.
The spiritual
Behind these glands are our energy centres/chakras. When our energy is aligned we open our channel of consciousness. With this channel clear we feel more aligned with ourselves, more connected with others, with nature, and all that exists.
